About
I do not think that the student is only learning if he or she sees and shoots the way I do photography. I work around the student's interests and style to help him or her develop techniques that enhance the student's enjoyment of and skill in taking photographs.
I like working with a variety of people and sharing my enthusiasm for photography and seeing my students feel more comfortable doing photography and get more pleasure and satisfaction from their photography.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to know what aspects of photography the student is interested in, what he or she wants to get out of the course and I tailor my lessons to meet their needs and interests.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a photographer since I was in high school where I shot for the school newspaper and yearbook. I have worked as a professional photographer doing all types of photography: portraits, weddings, events, landscape, buildings, and I have worked for individuals and corporations.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher who listens to the student and shares your enthusiasm. Avoid a teacher who wants every student to shot the same way and has the same vision as the teacher.
