CarliPaigeDesigns is the brainchild of Carli Rescott, a passionate young women who is new to the DC area. She is a graduate of the University at Buffalo in International Studies and Media Studies, loves the outdoors, being creative, and learning through collaboration. She has been shaped by her expiriences in teaching children, painting, and working full time in Washington DC. Check out @carlipaigedesigns on Instagram!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will speak with the student about their expectations for learning. What kind of materials do they like? Do they have experience? What is their goal as an artist?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Born from two artist parents, I have always known how to be creative. I attended workshops and classes from a young age - learning oil still lifes at just 10 years old. Although I did not gain a degree in studio art, I have had several years of formative training throughout high school and college. I continue to paint and sell my art.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge anywhere from $40 to $100 per hour depending on the nature of the lesson and materials used.
How did you get started teaching?
I first began teaching when I took on an internship as an ESL assistant teacher in a low income school. I loved working with children and teaching came naturally to me. Since then, I have worked as a Creative Enabler and art teacher as a local paint-and-sip art studio in Washington DC!

I have worked with students of all ages!
