I am a self taught professional photographer, with experience that spans over the last 40 years. I have been on assignments at the White House, the US Capitol, the Cannon Office Building, American Red Cross, Pepsi, McDonald's, Howard University, D.C. Department of Aging, D.C. Lottery, etc.
I worked with all format cameras, from old school 35mm film cameras to today's 35mm digital cameras. I have experience with 4x5 medium format cameras, 5x7 large format cameras, black & white film, darkroom, and more.
My standard price is $275.00 per 1 hour lesson. Each photographic lesson is designed to help each student clearly understand their camera, the art of seeing, and how to take great photographs. This price also includs travel time to location within a 50 miles radius from the Washington' Metro area.
I am a member of many photographers meetup groups that is in the Washington's Metro area. Once a month, one of these photo groups meet at the Lincoln Memorial, Great Falls, or Baltimore Inner Harbor to take photographs. There has been many times when one or more members would come up to me and ask me about my photography. They would ask how took a photo or what camera setting should they be using. Helping them understand photography was bringing out the best of my teaching skills.
A few years ago I taught a summer photography class for students 12 to 18 and I had a great time teaching these students. The results were awesome.
This time of the year there are many people getting married. I have already done 3 weddings in 2018. It's a great opportunity to be picked out of many professional photographers to be that special photographer to do a once in a lifetime event like someones wedding.
