What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Email and then phone call and then come and start with basics of the DSLR camera using a PowerPoint I have developed. Then start with specific lessons to learn about Shutter, Aperture and Manual modes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
18 years as a pro photographer. I am an expert in Adobe Photoshop and teach classes in that as well.

How did you get started teaching?
I have been a teacher for 30 years - I have taught in community college, in home school cooperatives and in private classes and lessons in my house.

5th grade to adults in the 70's

I arranged a Photo Safari to climb the towers inside the Washington National Cathedral to photograph the stained glass and gargoyles up close

Someone friendly and who is excited about teaching and is clearly knowledgeable
