Coach Johns was by far the most knowledgeable coach i worked with throughout my entire volleyball career. Not only did she teach volleyball she taught us to take accountability, and be responsible and respectful. Coach Johns truly wanted the best for all her players , she would go above and beyond to tweak the tiniest error. There was no pressure with Coach Johns, mistakes could be made and she would correct it without any judgment. During my time with Coach Johns I was taught how to email colleges, which I had never done before, she taught us how to make highlight videos and what information to include in our emails. I was recruited to 2 colleges and I can’t thank Coach Johns enough for the training she gave me, I will forever be grateful for how much she helped mold me into the player I became.

Coach Johns is very consistent and knew just how to help my child increase her confidence and skills. She was always very professional and made lessons fun. She is very knowledgeable about the sport and utilized different drills to enhance weaknesses.
She worked well with my daughter and my son and though they were on different net heights and skill levels, she was able to make lessons enjoyable for both, while building confidence in each child. WE REALLY ENJOYED HER POURING INTO OUR KIDS!

Very in depth knowledge of the game. She has worked for and trained under a top mid west volleyball club. She is good at seeing areas my daughter needed to work on and excellent at explaining in a way that makes kids want to work on it. She is a joy to be around in general. But she is also a no nonsense coach who tries to bring out the best in every player who wants to imporve

My girls (12 & 17) play libero and setter, and both greatly benefited from Coach Johns technical instruction, dynamic energy, and extensive knowledge. Her lessons encompass the whole game, from conditioning to IQ. She was the catalyst for my 17 year old to start the recruiting process, and had the insight and resources to get her seen. Within a few months, my daughter accepted an offer to play volleyball at her top choice school! We live across the country from Coach Johns now, but shes still interested in the girls accomplishments. We love Coach Johns!

    Frequently asked questions

Begin with a conversation with the player(s) and parent(s) to see what the player has done, what the expectations are, maybe set some goals (if player is advanced enough). During the lesson: assess what level the player is: technically, physically, mentally through skills, drills and questions. After lesson speak again with player and parent and revisit the goals and expectations and make sure they are obtainable, and add any additional help if needed.

$90 per lesson (cheaper if more than one player, but will only take a max of 3-4). Typically will take combinations such as: all middles, all OH, all RS, all setters, 2 setters and hitter, 2MH and SETTER, etc.

I was a player myself that started playing volleyball late (HS) and realized how much I loved the sport. Once in college, I found out just how much my HS coaches didn't know how to guide us (to no fault of their own) and train us from the ground. That's when I knew what type of coach I wanted to be. I teach from the ground up! I change the way players anylize the game. I give the answers to their questions then I begin to ask them to breakdown for me what their body and mind are doing so that they are able to adjust in game situations.

I have worked with players from ages 6yrs-19yrs.

Taking a lower level teams to USAV JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL NATIONALS.

Come open-minded and ready to work!

Why do you want to play volleyball?

How serious are you about the sport?

What are 3 goals that you have for the year?
