LWBA (Leni Wilson Basketball Academy)
About
I am a native of Newark DE. I developed a thirst for basketball at the ripe age of 10. My love for the game of basketball became my life’s passion.
Starting as a center/power-forward for the ST Elizabeth’s girl’s basketball team, I started developing my skills for the next level.
Earning a 4 year paid scholarship to Georgetown University in Washington, DC for the Georgetown Women’s basketball team, is were I zoned in on my athletic skills and blossomed.
Hard work and dedication paid off when I advanced my team to the first round of the NCAA championship. In addition to that, I was captain and MVP.
After college, I continued my quest for basketball by becoming a professional women’s basketball player, for the country of France and Sweden, due to the fact that the woman's basketball, WNBA was not as popular as it is now.
In 2012 I was inducted into the “Georgetown University Athletic Hall of Fame ,and also into, The Delaware Sports Museum Hall of Fame, in Wilmington, DE for all my basketball accolades.
These days, I changed my name from Leni Wilson to “Coach Wilson” were I teach basketball fundamentals to children ages 6-15 and volunteer my time as a coach for the DE YMCA during youth basketball season.
I provide a high quality of
basketball experience in a safe
and positive environment for
student/athletes.
I provide skills, instruction, and repetition, focusing on the fundamentals where players can improve at their own pace.
I provide competition and coaching to enable players to reach their full potential.
