About

My lessons are designed in such a way as to not merely introduce students to new techniques in painting, but to incorporate elements of Art Fundamentals such as Composition, Design and Art History within each specific assignment.

I thoroughly enjoy the interplay and exchange with each and every student irregardless of age or experience. My goal is to enlighten, encourage and inspire them to new heights of creativity and artistic exploration. I find an overwhelming sense of satifaction and pure joy in inspiring others !

John takes the finer points of are and makes it easy to understand and comprehend. He is very clear in his instructions. I go into a trance when I paint it become very meditative. John creates an atmosphere that awakens your inner artist.

I am not an artist, but with Mr. Keaton’s classes he makes your experience rewarding. He showed me step by step how to paint a beautiful picture of the beach which I gave to my late mother who loved the picture I created. John is a true professional and he takes time with each student to show them his wonderful talent. Well done Mr Keaton

John Keaton was my graphic design art professor at Platt college back in 2001. Hes a very detail oriented and knowledgeable professor. John is very artistic and a great singer also! I still keep in touch him until this day because not only was he my professor, I also see him as my mentor. He has a very positive attitude towards life and he always encourages me to live life to the fullest and any obstacles can be over come if I work hard at it.

    Frequently asked questions

Initially, I give students the opportunity to simply create whatever they wish to. Once I have established their skill levels, I offer advice on how they can improve on their work from a technical and creative standpoint. In so doing this allows each student to advance at their own pace.

I began studying Art seriously in High School, at night I took classes at The Philadelphia College of Art, where I took courses in Painting, Drawing and Children's Book Illustration. After that, I studied Advertising Arts in Hamburg, Germany, while in the United States Air Force. Beyond that point, I continued my schooling in Tampa, Florida at Tampa Technical School where I undertook classes in Illustration and Graphic Design. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and a Master's in Fine Art. My most recent courses were taken at Full Sail University where I am currently seeking a Bachelor's in Cinematography.
