I am a classically trained fine artist and illustrator with over 10 years experience teaching adults and children of all ages and skill levels. Whether you want to learn the practices and techniques of the old masters or how to mix color and apply paint, I will guide you to the level of profiency you want. I have exhibited widely in the United States and Mexico and illustrated for books, magazines and periodicals. I look forward to teaching you!

Alfredo is a fantastic instructor! I had tried to self teach by following YouTube videos, but nothing I found taught me with the intricate methods of the masters. He starts everyone out with a fairly easy master copy that he paints along with you so you can ask questions as you paint. And this first painting has the added bonus of starting you out with a high level of confidence and motivation because he makes sure it is terrific at the end. He has taught me about glazing, value studies , imprimatura, ala prima painting and more! I’ve been studying with Alfredo for nearly a year and I’m constantly amazed at how fast my skills have improved. It was honestly the best decision I made when I started painting.
