Ovalle Cello Lessons
About
Not only do I teach cello during lessons, but I can assist with career development for musicians. As a cello teacher, my goal isn't only improving my student's playing abilities, but guiding them through whatever career in music they intend on pursuing.
As I am pursuing a Bachelors in Music Performance for cello, my lessons will be just as in-depth as college training.
I absolutley love seeing students improve their skills and grow a deep love for music. I love that lessons help these students as both musicians and people. Being a musician can be challenging, which is why I make sure my students feel accomplished. Just being able to play a note is an accomplishment itself.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Assessing the student's goals is one of my first steps in lessons. Finding what a student wants out of lessons (eg. auditions, guidance, technique, etc.) is important so that I can adapt lessons accordingly to each different student. Based on the first lesson, I will also assess the musician's needs in technique and playing. This will allow us to find some repertoire and excercises that will help them thorughout their time studying with me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught at volunteer music programs as a violin tutor, ensemble coach, and lessons teacher.
I am pursuing a BM in Music Performance, and am performing in school and professional ensembles across the state of Florida.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
First lesson (45 minutes) for a potential student is free. Then, lessons will be $40 for 45 minutes. Almost all lessons end up going over 45 minutes to 1 hour free of extra charge.
How did you get started teaching?
Back in high school, some of my greatest influences and role models were my music teachers. They helped me grow as a musician and person, and I hope to have the same effect as a teacher myself.
What types of students have you worked with?
Have worked with students of all levels, from beginners to advanced high school. Any levels are welcome!
