How did you get started teaching?
After spending years learning how to shoot like a Professional, I noticed that a lot of people started buying professional cameras and expect to get professional results just because they have a camera, but they have no idea on how to use it. The reason, they don't have the knowledge on how to use a camera and the art of photography.
I decided then to share and show people to do it right. I teach at the local Libraries and at the school I work at. I also give private one on one classes.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have experience working with all ages. From teens to adults. As long as they have a passion for photography, I'm willing to teach.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say that before hiring any professional photographer and not waste their time, they must consider the following:
1. Desire to learn
2. Passion for photography
3. Commit to the classes
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Don't be afraid to ask. If yo want to learn, you must ask questions. There is no dumb question.
