Every student is different I don't have a set way for each player.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B/A degree in Physical Education. I coach High School Basketball and I coach my own travel basketball teams for over 25 years.

Find someone who knows how to teach fundamentals. Find a coach who will challenge you to do your best and keeping the game fun as well.
