I began photographing while in the US Navy covering events such as inspections and ceremonies at the base where I was stationed.
Today my work is primarily focused on photographing people, whether in the studio or on location, using available light as well as strobes. Other than the training I received while stationed in the US Navy, my knowledge comes from 25 years of experience.

i have trained private clients on the basics of photography.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
look at the photographer’s body of work. That will speak volumes about their abilities as a photographer.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The kind of photography that they are interested in as well as why they are doing it. Is it for a hobby or more serious intent?
