Great Studio space...bright, inviting and cheerful. I am a former art teacher with a BA in Fine Arts. I love teaching and I love experimenting with art. I teach all ages and use a variety of mediums. I want the customer to make personal decisions about their art and I'm there to give them guidance.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Finding out what they want to learn or do, teaching them the easiest way to build skills and confidence. I want them to create and be an individual artist.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a former Art teacher with a fine arts degree.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60 for 2 hours of a private lesson which includes an 11" x 14" canvas and supplies.
How did you get started teaching?
When my kids were young I taught preschool for many years. I went into high school teaching which included AP art, beginner art, and photography.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages from preschool to seniors citizens.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love going to the Art fairs, especially the Art Fest. Not sure when they will be happenening again.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be open and honest about what you plan to achieve. You want to have fun and learn at the same time. Make sure you have a connection with your instructor so you can relax and achieve progress.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How serious are you? Is this a hobby and you just want to have fun while learning or do you want to achieve a personal goal? What skills do you already have and what do you want to learn?
