Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Hey to know them and what equipment they have. From there I get to know their equipment so I can give them my knowledge. I also see what level they are at, and where my expierence can help fill in their lack of knowledge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm certified from Nikon school
of photography, was a teaching assistant in college, and am the designated person to all family and friends who teaches them how to use their equipment or how to frame a photo.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I don't, I'm new to this, but feel as though I can lend a helping hand within my passion.
How did you get started teaching?
I did I'm college, and as I've said I teach people everyday around me.
What types of students have you worked with?
College aged and older folks, some children I've shown how to use a manual camera.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I took 5 generation portraits and having that family together was pretty special. I taught a child (6yrs old) how to use my camera so he took a couple shots of his great grandparents.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher meshes with you and that they are skilled within the style or boundaries you are interested in.
