About
I am an out of the box artist, specializing in miniatures. I work with many different mediums - bamboo/wood, clay, resin, paint, and preserved/live plants. It is all about upcycling something into something even better. I offer classes out in nature, or in the studio.
I really enjoy getting people to use their creativity to change ordinary things into true treasures. My students begin to see things in a new way - not what they are, but what they could be!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out what materials they have worked with in the past, and what kind of projects they would be interested in making. I often work with children, so I usually do an open idea project the first time, to see their level of crafting and tool use.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It varies, with online classes starting at $20.
How did you get started teaching?
Many of my customers expressed a desire to make some of the things I sell at market, so I set up a meet up in the park. It was a huge hit, so I began adding classes to my services.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all ages. Mostly age 7+. I have done classes with kids, adults, seniors, and a mix of all three.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a great time last week at our Meet Up and Make event for a homeschool group. The ideas the kids come up with after being shown a few things were amazing. I really liked the kid who used some of the example material from the teaching table to complete his project. Now that is thinking out of the box!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Have an open mind to creating and fun. Don't worry that you dont know how to do it - that is what I am here for.
