I’m Derrick Byars, a former 16-year professional basketball player with experience at the highest levels - including the NBA, NBA G-League, EuroLeague, and the BIG3. I now bring that elite-level knowledge and discipline to the youth game, helping kids not only build their skills but also develop the mindset it takes to succeed on and off the court.

Based in the Miami market, I run a year-round skills academy focused on fundamentals, basketball IQ, and long-term development. I also offer 1-on-1 and small group training for players who want more focused attention and real progression. Whether your child is a beginner or looking to take the next step in their journey, I bring passion, professionalism, and firsthand experience to every session.
