Hello,
I am a @Grammy Award Winning drummer who has been playing for 16 years. I received my Undergraduate and Graduate degrees from University of Miami's Frost School of Music. I have been afforded many opportunities to play at a plethora of venues domestically and abroad, which include festivals in Mexico, Guatemala, Haiti, Menorca, and others. I have played with @Grammy Award Winning artists Paquito D'Rivera and Brian Lynch. Also, I have been teaching for 10 years for a variety of ages ranging from 6-65.
I enjoy being able to experience different cultures around the world through music and also enjoy dissiminating knowledge to less experienced players who are looking to better themselves as musicians.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I first spend time listening to them play and I play so we can become comfortable with one another. After this I can asses what the student needs to work on regrarding fundamentals and technique. I will also ask what the student is looking forward to learning while we are working together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have Undergraduate and Graduate degrees from University of Miami's Frost School of Music. I also won a Grammy for Best Large Jazz Ensemble in 2020.

I have an hourly fee which will be given once I send the quote.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching the first year of my undergraduate degree becuase I realized there are a lot of students that aren't afforded the opportunity to go to college or study more advanced techniques themselves.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages ranging from young children to elderly students. I have also worked with all skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced players.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise that the student is sure that he/she finds someone they are comfortable with and relate to so lessons are as productive as possible.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should just be sure that they are willing to practice the things teachers ask them and have a general idea of what they would like to learn.
