The Mental Game Of Baseball

About

Coach Alex baseball Clinics in Broward County ⚾️

With over 40 years of experience in baseball as a player, coach, trainer and former scout for Seattle Mariners, I bring a lifetime of knowledge and passion to the field. I was drafted out of high school, played four years of college ball, and covered multiple positions including catcher, outfield and third base.

My approach goes beyond physical training, I emphasize the mental side of the game, which I believe is the true key of success, not just in baseball but in life. You can have the ability and all the tools , but without a mindset, you won't reach your full potential. I have couched countless players at all levels, including my own kids. Whether you're a beginner looking to build a strong foundation or an advance player needing focused, position-specific work, I offer private lessons, group ethics and team sessions customized to your goals.

I'm based in Broward County, available for training across the area.

    Frequently asked questions

Before we begin any training, I always take the time talk with each player. I want to understand why they want to play baseball and their personal goals are, whether its making the team, earning a scholarship or just becoming the best version of themselves on and off the field.
I’ve been in Baseball for over 40 years as a Player, Coach and Scout with the Seattle Mariners. I was Drafted out of High School by the Philadelphia Phillies as a Catcher and played the outfield and 3rd base.
Yes, I charged $65 for an hour & a half.
It really began when I became a dad. As my boys started playing competitive baseball, I naturally found myself getting involved - helping them with their fundamentals, coaching the teams, guiding them through the ups and downs of the game. From there my interest just grew. I realized how much I enjoyed teaching the game of baseball, not just the mechanics for helping young players build confidence, understand the mental side of baseball, and develop a real love for the game. It turns into a passion of coaching others and making a positive impact through the game.
I have worked with a wide range of players, from young kids as young as 7 years old just starting out, all the way to high school and college-level athletes. I have worked with catchers, pitchers, infielders and outfielders. I've also worked with few parents that wanted to better understand the game and the techniques I teach so they could support their kids at homes and help reinforce what it takes to be ready every time the step into the game.
Well, I've been in High School and College Baseball events with former division 1 coaches and former players. In Puerto Rico the local players when they are done playing professional in MLB or Minor leagues, they play winter ball to stay in shape and most of the coaches were Big League player and I get invited to a few of those events, so I'm always around the game gathering information and Knowledge.
To watch the games on TV! study the game! read baseball books or motivation books! practice on your own always and set achievable Goals like swing the bat 20 times before bed, do 10-20 push ups every day, do 20 sit-ups, read a sports book to learn what players are doing.
any questions they want, there are no wrong or bad questions, if they are asking it means they want to learn it!
