The Mental Game Of Baseball
About
My name is Alex and I live in Broward County. I’ve been in baseball as a player, coach, Scouting with the Seattle Mariners and Trainer for over 40 years. I was Drafted out of High School and played 4 years of College as a Catcher but played Outfield and 3 rd Base as well. I really stress the mental part of the game! You can have all the tools needed to be a great ball player but if your mind is not ready, You won’t make it too far in anything you do in life! I have 3 boys of my own that played baseball and my 14 year still plays High School and Travel, so I’m still involved in the game I Love! Let me know what training does your kid needs and I can definitely help ⚾️👍🏼 My direct contact is 954-993-2113.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to know why the want to play Baseball and I want to know what are there goals in playing Baseball. I will talk to them before we start training if they understand the mental part of this game and will spend a few minutes in that subject.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, I charged $65 for an hour & a half.
How did you get started teaching?
Well a Catchers is the only player that has every player in front of them and we tell the pitcher what to throw. That's why a lot of catchers get into coaching after they are done playing and most of them become the head coach.
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked and helped kids from 7 years old to even a few parents that just wanted to learned what I teach so they can remind their kids what to do be ready to go between the lines. from high school, college catchers, pitchers, outfields and infielders.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Well, I've been in High School and College Baseball events with former division 1 coaches and former players. In Puerto Rico the local players when they are done playing professional in MLB or Minor leagues, they come home and play winter ball to stay in shape and most of the coaches were Big League player and I get invited to a few of those events, so I'm always around the game gathering information and Knowledge.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
To watch the games on TV! study the game! read baseball books or motivation books! practice on your own always and set achievable Goals like swing the bat 20 times before bed, do 10-20 push ups every day, do 20 sit-ups, read a sports book to learn what players are doing.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
any questions they want, there are no wrong or bad questions, if they are asking it means they want to learn it!
