Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students are taught based on individual skills and talents. Those with little or no experience will go through an introductory class and all students, adults and children, will progress based on their comfort with learning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Early on I studied art in high school, college and private lessons. Currently I take classes ocassionaly to learn new techniques to share with my students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Childrens classes in arts and crafts, drawing and painting are based on a six week session and payment is due when registering. Adults can pay for classes individually or purchase a 4 or 6 week package. All students pay an annual registration fee.
How did you get started teaching?
I've always been a teacher in some capacity but when I started my business, I had requests to teach.
What types of students have you worked with?
My youngest student is 4 and my oldest is 84. I have also worked with special needs and autistic students. I've held private workshops for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Corporate Creative Team building.
