What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, we identified in what level the student is, so we can start working with the student. By knowing a little more of the student activities related to sport and fitness we can best work with the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I surf for over 35 years in many different breaks around the World, have competed and free surf in many international venues you can be assured that you will have the best instructor to teach you how to surf.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private lessons $75.00 1 hour (1surfer)
semi-private lesson $100.00 1 hour (2 surfers)
group lessons $180.00 1 1/2 hour (1-4 surfers)
we can create packages accordingly to how many people, hours and number of lessons.
How did you get started teaching?
I started when working at a surf shop, and when I open our surf camp, about 5 years ago, but I have been giving surf lessons for decades. I also coach kids and adults for surfing competition or just to get better on surfing.
What types of students have you worked with?
all types and all ages starting at 4 years old.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
do a little research on the instructor, look for his review and book just one lesson and see for yourself.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
they should ask anything that concerns them related to the ocean, waves and etc.
