I teach painting, mostly oils and acrylics, though I do have a few watercolor painters. I focus on values,color mixing and composing for the lessons I teach. I have been a professional painter for a very long time. I also teach individual students online, via computer. My teaching focuses on landscape, florals, and occasionally, still life subjects. I have a BFA and continue to research painting.

I enjoy using the research that I do for my own painting process to form into lessons for my students. I only teach 6 days a month, so I do not tire of my teaching relationships with students. I make a living from my paintings, not teaching, so I teach for the joy of sharing. My goal is to give my students the fundamental tools of good painting and let them use those tools for their own journey and style. I am deeply respectful to my students and their work.
