Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, first I like to ask a few questions such as:
- what is your short term, and long term goal as a player?
- where do you think you need improvement the most?
- are you excited for learn new skills, while being a coacheable player?
Then I plan practice based on the answers and we execute on the court.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a marketing degree but my heart is in volleyball. I've been coaching on a club team for the past 3 years and I've been coaching private lessons for the past year. I'm involved with the game every single day and I love it!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It's $100 for the hour.
Example: 1 player it's $100, 2 players $50 per player, 3 players it's $33 per player, and so on.
How did you get started teaching?
I contacted one of the most prestigious club teams of South Florida, Tribe Volleyball, and I was lucky enough to be accepted to coach there! I'm still part of their coaching staff and I love the culture here!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with several different ages and levels: from 6 year olds who have to learn every single aspect of the game, to HS Seniors who are about to get into college.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
It's a bitter sweet moment when volleyball season ends, but I really enjoy seating back realizing how much the players progress throughout the season. Not only on the skill level but especially their positivity and mental toughness! I do receive messages from players thanking me for pushing them hard, challenging them during the season, and that is very rewarding!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
- I would first advice the player to understand that he/she will have to put 100% in to get 100% out of the lesson.
- Then I would advice the player to choose a coach who is willing to go the extra mile to see the player achieving his/her goals!
- Lastly, choose a coach who loves the game, and is constantly learning about the game!
