John Housey Hitting/Pitching Lessons
About
I have been giving and receiving easy to learn and effective baseball instruction for most of my life. My dad myself and my brother all have years of professional baseball experience. I played 3 years at the University of Miami then for the Seattle Mariners and then for the Los Angeles Dodgers up to Triple A. I have been giving lessons around Hollywood for years now but have taken a break the last few.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
An effective coach has to gauge the ability and aptitude of the player. The coach or teacher does not want to instruct above or below the level of the player's understanding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Three years of major D1 one baseball experience and professional baseball experience up to AAA.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Price differs but I usually start with 30 minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
I knew I could relay effective and easy to understand baseball instruction to players that need it.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages up too late high school or early college.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say ask some questions to the coach and see what you think. You do not always pay for what you get. High price doesn't necessarily mean good instruction.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What they think their own flaws in their abilities are.
