Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know the needs of each individual first. Finding out what the motivation is and what specifically they want to work on. I like to make them feel comfortable by letting them know about who I am and what I stand for. I expect to there to be a learning curve but dedication to their time to learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I played Varsity High School Baseball from arguably one of the best High School coaches of all time (Rick Harig) who was recently inducted in the Colorado High School Sports Hall of Fame. I played one year of semi-professional baseball in California in the Summer of 1999 before playing in the Mens Amature Baseball League in Colorado in 2006 and from 2007 - 2011 in the South Florida Baseball League, 2011-2016 the Broward Baseball League and now currenty in the American United Baseball League as both a player and Assistant Coach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I prefer to discuss pricing options over the phone after assessing a students budget. Prices may vary depending on the hours and possible travel.
How did you get started teaching?
Because of the passion I have for baseball I have always taught the younger guys on each team that I have played and coached for. You can say my leadership skills at an early age helped me teach as early as the High School level.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have only worked with teammates in the past but finally am working with a 14 year old Freshan who is hoping to one day play varsity baseball.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of many events but in particular can say the Major League Baseball All Star weekend in Miami was a dream come true to see the greatest ball players together.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who is passionate about the sport and passionate about sharing their knowledge and most importantly someone you can connect with.
