My name is Corey Walter and I am a former professional baseball player for the Oakland Athletics. I grew up in Wheeling WV. I later went on to play at West Virginia University. I was drafted out of West Virginia in 2014. During my career as a player I was OVAC Player of the Year in 2010 (HS) and also selected 1st Team All-State. Recieved a scholarship to play at WVU (2010-2014). Concluding the 2014 season I was selected in the MLB Draft by the Oakland Athletics. During my career as an Athletic I posted a 3.50 ERA in 380.2 innings. I was also apart of 2 Texas League Champion teams and Selected to the AA all star team in 2016. My highlest level achieved was in 2017 with the AAA Nashville Sounds.
I have given lessons for many years now during the offseason. I love working with kids and seeing their skill improve. The biggest reward is helping them and hearing the feedback on their achievments during a game/season. I recently moved from WV to Jacksonville and am excited to start coaching here.
