Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I review the student work they bring me, I assess their skill level, and and determine some exercises to address their needs, usually involving color theory, and brush control, or familiarity with materials in the case of complete beginners.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in advertising illustration, mural work on the Olive Garden murals all over the country. I have worked with many Florida interior designers in high end homes and businesses for 30 years. I have also exhibited in the USA and was hosted by the city of Nantes, France to exhibit my plein air watercolors called "French Light , Florida Light show in 1992. I have been featured in many magazines such as Arbus, Florida Design magazine, and Waters Edge for my large wall murals. I have taught in many locations, such as Reddi Arts, and the Ponte Vedra Cultural Center.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $195. for six session, three hour each session and schedule up to six per class so I can give the best personal attention to the students progress
How did you get started teaching?
People had asked me for years if I would teach, murals, wall finishing, oils, acrylics watercolors, but at that time I was too busy. In these years I have reduced my obligations and enjoy sharing the wealth of my knowledge to students so they can expand the pleasure of their work and see real results.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with beginners who know nothing, artists who work at their hobby, and aspiring artists who want to take their work to the professional level.
