About
As a career photographer and a lifelong photography hobbiest I bring the love of photography to the table. If you seek creativity skills, vanity portraiture skills, commercial photography skills or just how to place your shadows, I can bring you up to speed quickly. One day I sat down, 5000 hours later I stood up, it was then I knew I was a Photoshop guru. Since then I have employed many a Art Institute graduate. I had to retrain them all to break the complication of commercialized Photoshop training. My service is complete and hands on. Join me to learn the enjoyment of photography.
I picked up the camera at age 19. Fifty years later I still take a shiver to the spine just by picking up the camera. My website says it all. I have worked personal and professional photography on 4 continents. Each day is different than the next. One day I may work portraits the next landscapes and the next commercial products. To love the craft is to know you will enjoy creating images till your last day. Others retire and leave a job, as photographers we may retire but we will always love our craft.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Introductions are first. I know that the student knows my style by having reviewed my work online. Second is to interview for what are his or her photography or videography interest are. Be it people, landscape or general photography knowledge. This should take only 20 minutes. From there we make to a lessson plan that works for the students specific ideas. I do on location training only. I believe in the student having the ability to keep learning even after the class is over. To achieve this I prefer to conduct class at the students home or nearby the students home.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Having been a professional photographer and videographer for over 30 years and a photography teacher at the high school and college level for over 25 years I am very comfortable to bring a student new ground breaking achievements every session. I am a graduate of the Texas School of Photography at Sam Houston State University as well as former photography student of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale Illinois. I have worked photography jobs on 4 continents and speak Spanish fluently.
