Hi, my name is Hugo Caldeira!

I'm a professional musician based in Palm Beach Gardens who's keen on teaching interested students in the following study fields:

Trombone (Classical and Jazz)

Music Theory (Classical and Jazz)

Aural Skills

I'm accepting students 7 years old or older, at any level.

I can come to your house for lessons. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

ABOUT ME:

I'm 25 years old and originally from Portugal. I've lived in NY for 2 years (where I got my Master's degree in Jazz Arts in 2023 at the Manhattan School of Music), and I'm currently enrolled at the University of Miami for my D.M.A. in Jazz Arts.

I love sports, chess, and traveling!

EXPERIENCE:

I have 11 years of experience playing in professional Big Bands (most notably OJM 2021–2025 and OJE 2019–2025).

I've played thousands of gigs (pop, jazz, and funk) with famous Portuguese and international stars such as Joshua Redman, Jon Faddis, Miguel Zenón, Ingrid Jensen, Pedro Abrunhosa, Salvador Sobral, etc.

3 years of private teaching and 1 year teaching at Conservatório de Música do Porto.
