Lily Arts
About
I can provide guidance for creative expressions thru diverse mediums. Whether you are interested in learning a relaxing new hobby, something to help inspire a new work project, team building experience, or family fun time- Art is a great way to immerse your self. Offering beginner level individual and group lessons in acrylic painting.
I have experience in fine arts (drawing, painting, sculpture), stagecraft (scene building and painting), and creative writing (yearbook & magazine content and editorial) throughout 4 years of educational visual arts training. Now trying to build my hobby into a career.
I like getting to know people and what inspires them. The best part is working with beginners that really don’t think they are able to paint but walk away very happy with what they can do.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I prefer getting to know their needs. The initial dialogue should help me understand their learning process, location- if they are local or online, what timeframe is best, what medium or techniques they are interested in, and just a general conversation about the students likes and dislikes so I can make it prepare a good experience. Ideally I would like to be the kind of teacher that meets up in the park, sets up two easels and canvas for a landscape lesson over coffee. Or box juice for younger clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have always had a love for arts. I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. I recived four years of formal training in visual arts education including fine arts, stagecraft, photography and creative writing. I don’t get a chance to use my art in my current field so I’m look forward to spending time with students that enjoy it as much as I do.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing will vary on a number of factors, such as:
- Location
- Materials
- Number of students
- Etc.
It is important for me to have good communication so that we can plan better.
How did you get started teaching?
I don’t have formal teaching experience but art is a wonderfully forgiving subject. You can have fun while you learn. My approach to teaching is to talk to my students like I would a friend or family member. If you know more or less what you want, or if you don’t know at all but you’re willing to try- that’s perfect! I only ask that you have an open mind because art is about exploring the world and seeing it in different ways.
