About
Doug Gordon is one of the leading wedding and portrait photographers in the world today. Having been a photographer for over 29 years he has photographed just about everything you can imagine. His studio is based in Long Island and Orlando. Doug Gordon has been lecturing on photography since 1998 and has become one of the most well know photographers in the world for his renowned Flow Posing techniques. Doug has been fortunate enough to partner with some of the best brands in the photography industry including Nikon, Adorama, Bay Photo Lab, Fundy Software, Shoot Proof and Pilot Imaging. On a personal note, I am a father of two incredible children and have been a part of a loving marriage since 1998 I feel like my life is beyond blessed. Truthfully I am failed baseball player. But I have never been so thankful for failing at anything. I started as a snot nose kid at 11 years old following my daddy around on weddings just to spend more time with him. As you can imagine this made me an extreme romantic and true believer in love and relationships. I love photography and I love teaching it even more. The feeling of seeing the light bulb go on in a students eyes is truly awesome. I truly believe that in todays ever changing economic climate as well as technology growth in the photography industry has made being a photographer about a lot more than pressing the button. If you truly want to be unique it starts with understanding posing and sculpting. Everybody is beautiful and our job as photographers is to show the beauty of the person not only on the outside but also who they are as a person. With a simple push of the hips , a little élan from the waist and a correct angle of the face magic is truly created. When you put that together with a beautiful story, can it get any better? I don’t think so! I hope you get to look around my Doug Gordon Workshops Channel and see what I am truly all about. I have learned over time that in order to be truly successful, you must be consistent. This channel will teach you just how to do that with a better understanding of lighting and posing simplicity.
