About

I played 12 years of professional baseball and was a pitching coach for a nationally ranked NAIA program for 4 years. I am a Former pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, Atlanta Braves, and St. Louis Cardinals. My goal is to help young ball players utilize their skills to become better players.

-I was an All-American my senior year of High School.

- Signed a Letter of Intent to play college baseball at Florida State University.

-I was drafted out of Winter Haven High School in the 3rd round of the 2012 MLB baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners as a pitcher, and played within their minor league system for 4 years.

-I was named a mid-season and post-season allstar in two of those years at the level I was at with Seattle.

-December 2016, I was traded to the Atlanta Braves where I spent the most recent baseball season in A+ & AA.

-In 2017 I was named a Mid-Season All Star in A+

- Was signed out of independent baseball by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2021.

- 12 years of professional baseball experience.

I got to live my dream of being a professional baseball player, and I loved it. I've become to love to help other players as well trying to become better and sharpen their skills. Whether they are 8 years old or 18, I enjoy sharing the knowledge I've gained over my 27 years of having a bat and ball in my hand.

Tyler was very patient with our ten year old son. He helped build his confidence with batting and fielding. Our son expressed interest in pitching and Tyler was more than willing to teach him. Our son loved his sessions with Tyler and looks forward to picking them back up.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to go through some basic drills with my client, to see what I think they could work on or improve at. Then implement drills that will help them. As they advance, we would continue to add onto those drills or move on to more advanced ones.

I've been playing baseball for 23 years, since I was 3 years old. It's all I have ever wanted to do. I played little league, travel baseball, high school, and have 9 years of professional baseball experience under my belt.

The standard pricing for a 1-on-1 lesson for a half an hour is $60. This will give me ample time to see what I can do to help and implement thoughts, ideas, and adjustments to make for the client.
I always felt that I could be good at coaching and teaching. During an off-season, I found that lessons could be a great idea to help me learn how to coach and interact with someone who was working on trying to get better and achieve a goal or dream, just like I was at their age. I ended up loving it, then got a job as a pitching coach, and now still find that I want to continue to help someone get better and achieve their goals to be the best ball player they can be.
I’ve worked with kids from age 6, all the way up to college kids and pro players. I love helping players who are eager to learn, want to get better, and are driven to be the best versions of themselves.

To make sure they are qualified. Some people are looking to just make money off of you. Find someone that will invest in you and your skills to better you as a player.

Finding out who they are as a player. What are they good at? What can I improve on? What part of my game needs the most work? These questions can help make you a student of your game, as well as the game of baseball.
