About
I have been working as a professional photographer since 1980 so I am "fluent" in both film and digital techniques. I have been a instructor in photography and other business-related courses at the college level so I am also an experienced teacher. Our lessons are tailored to the individual based on their desires, areas of interest and present skill level.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, we need to discuss what the student wants to accomplish - is he or she interested in improving their personal photography skills or are they thinking about starting into photography professionally or semi-professionally?
Next, we find out what experience and photography knowledge the person already has so we can see where to start. We won't bore you with basics you already know or talk over your head with techy topics you don't need yet.
When and how often do you want to meet? Most times we will assign a subject then get back together to see what you came up with.
We will discuss photography concepts and "rules", equipment selection, photo editing software and real-world photo skills.
