About
I am a professional artist residing in Seminole, FL. I exhibit locally in solo & group shows, and ongoing at St. Pete Artworks, 2412 Central Av St. Pete & the Craftsmen Gallery in St. Pete Beach. I teach watercolor/watermedia, acrylic and art journaling.
I majored in art and have been painting in different mediums for 30+ years. Watercolor & watermedia in general are however, my forte.
I paint about what makes me happy. I love seeing students apply my ideas & guidance to grow their own personal style.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students can join an upcomingworkshop, an ongoing class, or request to work 1X1 with me. 1X1 classes & small groups classes are customized according to where the students are in their art journey and what they want to get out of the instructions. I offer a consultation to learn about their goals & prior experiences so that I can tailor my lessons to their needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Arts from Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, FL; 30+ years of painting experience; a thriving artistic practice. Have been teaching workshops & private instruction since 2018. I am a lifelong learner & I also attend workshops with other artists to keep up with new trends & learn new techniques & ideas that I can share with my students.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Depends on the number of students, how they'd like to structure the lessons, length, etc.
How did you get started teaching?
I find great happiness from the painting process. My painting has evolved over the years & I have learned tremendously form other great artists. I decided to pay it forward by sharing my process & lifetime of tips with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, levels & abilities.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It's important to be clear on what you want to get out of your lessons & communicate these ot the instructor. Ask for a consultation or studio visit prior to ommitting, to make sure it will be a good fit.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do I want to learn? How committed am I to the learning process? Am I willing to take what I learn & practice on my own? Is there a particular medium or style I am drawn towards? Am I willing to try new ideas?
