Hello! I’m Carrie. I’ve neen painting and creating since I was young. I have a bachelors degree in fine arts from a small private college in western Pennsylvania. I’m currently an art teacher at an elementary school during the day, and a mom to five wonderful kids!
I enjoy teaching students to experiment and loosen up when they are painting. Art should be a fun, relaxing, creative process. That’s what I aim to show!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I provide an inhome painting experience for groups of 8-15 people. You contact me. We’ll choose a painting and time/date for your party. Then I will come to lead the party’s painting. I provide canvases, paint, brushes, water cups, paper plate palettes, wet wipes. You need only to provide seating and cover the tables at which your friends will be painting.
The painting itself takes about 2 hours including breaks and some drying time. I can work around drinks and snacks!
I also offer private lessons at the rate of $40 per hour.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $20per person for each party. You must have a minimum of 8 people in attendance or be willing to make up the difference in total price. I can lead parties of up to 30 people.
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked with adults (beginners) in a party setting. I instruct children ages, 5-12, daily.
