Beginner Flute Lessons
About
I have been playing flute and piccolo for over 15 years. I have performed with several ensembles including the Miami Heat street band, the Miami Marlins band, Florida Memorial University Pep Band and Miami Carol City Sr High Marching and Concert bands. While at Florida Memorial I studied music education and mentored several high school students through our community band.
I enjoy teaching students and seeing the freedom of expression they gain by learning to play an instrument.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
An assessment of skill level to determine lesson planning. From there we would review the goals that they have individually and incorporate them into our goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied music education for 2 years at Florida Memorial University, been an assistant band director, drum major, band coordinator and secretary for various programs. I have taught incoming students of different skill levels, from “I have never picked up an instrument before” to students that just need help with technique.
