I enjoy is passing on my knowledge of painting to my students. My background for 37 years has been in the Hotel Industry as a Director of Interior Design For Marriott Hotels International, but continued studying and learning at American University and Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C.;as well as private art studios where I continued to hone my talent and skills in drawing, painting and sculpture. I first studied drawing and painting at the Academia de Bellas Artes San Alejandro, Havana, Cuba.

I will interview the students to find out what is their experience and their inclination to painting. Which style and media they are comfortable with, as a begginer we will provide an example for them to start drawing. Once this is accomplished we will work with colors leting them to know the expectrum of colors........
My background on drawing and painting started in Havana, Cuba. Later on I stated taking classes at the Corcoran School of Art in Washingtn, DC. after I started the same at the American University.
I do plan to have a limited number of students (10) maximun in order to give each one the time needed for advancing.
Currently I have a 14 year girl enjoying classes every Saturday.
For 5 classes I do charge 130.00 and for individua classes 26.00. These prices include materials related to paper and paints but does not include canvas. The media I do teach is Watercolor and Acrylics.
Due to the sapce I have I do not use oils unless is water base.
My preferance is and has been acrylics.....
Iwas a Director of Interior Design for over 30 years and once I retired I decided to follow my passion for painting and Art in general, therefore I opened a samll gallery in Little Havana in 2010 where I decided to teach and give back what I learned through the years of training from Havana Cuba, Washington DC and now Mia mi FL.
Ages 30-88 and 13- 16. Do not teach below 11 years I have found out it is hard for them to focus for 3 hours class.
This is very objective....I have found out that to start painting and control the brush and the paints they need to learn how these materials are used. Painting in canvas takes longer due to the fdrying process and how the cloth absorve the paint....
