He is the best and so filled with knowledge!
I am writing this to help someone avoid the mistake of hiring this person for photography lessons. Laurence might have been a photographer, but he has no idea how to teach and can be very nasty. He told me I was "less than an beginner" because I asked him questions from videos on photography that I had watched on YouTube and that I had to "unlearn what I had seen in these videos". He also told me I had to "stop watching those F***ing videos." To make matters even worse, there is no plan or methodology to his teaching whatsoever. He is very verbose, but doesn't teach much. He just talks and talks, but there isn't much substance to what he says. In addition, if you ask him a question he either talks over you or puts you down for asking a question. I went twice and I can sincerely say I didn't learn much at all. I am mad at myself for going twice, but couldn't find another teacher in my area so I decided to give it another try. I thought the first time he might have been having a bad day, but the second time was even worse. If I could give him 0 stars I would. The positive reviews on here must be friends of his, seriously! If you want to waste your time and money and be treated rudely this is the right teacher for you.
Laurence really took the time to help me get a better understanding and direction when it comes to photography as a business.
Laurence took the time to explain the fundamentals of photography and what is needed to be successful in the business.
