I studied medical illustration at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and have been honing my skills for the past decade. I began my teaching career at the Museum of Art in Ft. Lauderdale, where I also helped construct the museum's only permanent exhibit, "Indigo Room. Currently I teach art to children ages 5-18 and the Dr. Reitman Boys and Girls Club. I also teach adults as well as children at A Painting Fiesta in Miami.
I can teach a broad spectrum of mediums, which gives the student the ability to experiment with different ways to create. This also helps with build a course that is tailored for the student. If the student is just starting out I tend to focus on the basics of drawing with observational pieces and advance from there. For those that are looking to polish their talents, the course will be geared towards building a strong portfolio.
As a teacher I am very patient and understand that many students are starting from scratch. Your early pieces may not be groundbreaking, but you will see a huge improvements once the course is complete.
I've included a link to my online portfolio for you to peruse. If you feel I might be suited to your needs, please don't hesitate to reach out.
