About
My passion for photography began in 1987 while taking an elective course at Parsons School of Design while majoring in architecture. The minute I entered the darkroom for the first time I knew I’d be a photographer for the rest of my life. I’m originally from Bogota Colombia where I owned my own professional studio for 15 years. We photographed mostly fashion catalogs, magazine editorials, celebrity portraits. Currently I reside in Miami and am dedicated to fine art photography. I’ve had four solo shows and my work has been exhibited in LA Art, Wynwood Art, Pinta and other satelite fairs during Art Basel Miami. I use Instagram as a sketchbook for experimentation and then develop some of the ideas into full bodies of work.
Rather than teaching in a classroom I’ve mentored young adults and helped them put together portfolios which have been presented to top art schools. 100% of my proteges have been accepted to the nation’s top Art Schools.
