Teaching is like taking care of plants. Little by little you see them growing their stems, then their leaves, and flowers. You have to guarantee they get the appropiate conditions of heat, hummidity, water and fertilizer. If they get what they need, then they grow inevitably. A student is just alike. The first thing I do is to detemine their current level in the target language. You have to know where you are standing at. Then, based on their spanish level, plan the appropiate strategy to buld right from the ground or build on top of what they already know.
