Santiago Vidal
About
Santiago is a multi awarded pianist/Composer graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston on a full scholarship, as a Film Composer. He also graduated from CAEMSA in Argentina as a Contemporary Pianist.
He won a first prize at the Herne Hill Music Festival in London, England in 2013 for the piano trio "Crónica de una decepción". He also won the first prize in the largest composition contest in Uruguay, organized by the Ministry of Culture (Premios Nacionales de Música) with the song "Nostalgias" (Latin music) in 2013. He also won the 3rd prize in the same contest in 2015 and 2018. He was finalist in the USA Songwriting Competition (receiving an Honorable Mention) for the song "Tu Querer" in 2015.
Santiago Vidal has been playing piano with many different artists (such as Alejandro Sanz and for Jimmy Page and Valerie Simpson at the Berklee Commencement concert), for the last 20 years in Europe, South America and North America.
Santiago has been teaching for the last 20 years for all ages, at the Academy of Music for The Blind, California College of Music (Los Angeles) and Let it Beat (Miami).
