We are a full time professional photography studio with a
graphic artist on staff. Services include Portraits, Weddings, Events and Commercial photography as well as Copy and Restoration and Passport photographs. I am a master photography and also earned the Degree of Photographic Excellence with Florida Professional Photographers Assn. I started photography in High School and worked for a photographer in Upstate NY and opened my business in FL in 1987. www.heidemariephoto.com is my website

my expertise is in people photography mostly and commercial.

It is not so much that I teach myself, but I can direct a student in the right direction for what they need to learn.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught at the Englewood Recreation Center when I first moved to Englewood.
What types of students have you worked with?
People whose hobby is photograpy and I gave lessons at Camera Clubs
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I gave a talk at the Port Charlotte and also at the Boca Grande Camera Club on how to photograph events.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Depends on what skill they need improvement on.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
what they already know, what equipment they have to work with and where they want to take this.
