Welcome to "The Art of ME". My teaching focuses on individual creativity. Students will have fun learning different techniques while developing their own style. Lessons include acrylic painting, watercolor, pencil drawing and oil pastel. I offer group or individual classes ranging from ages 3 and up.

I am a commissioned artist for Flamingo Road Nursery in Davie, Fl. I am a retired art teacher from American Heritage with many years of prior experience. I believe that my teaching style fosters a sense of accomplishment and well being in each unique individual. I do not teach men alone, but will in a group with other women. Individual classes are $50 per person per hr. Group lessons of 3 or more are $40. Per hr. Supplies included.

    Mary Ellen is a fantastic teacher who really engages you with art and not only teaches you but makes you want to learn. When I first started taking lessons, I had no art experience apart from looking at it. But after taking lessons with her, my ability to express myself through art and make paintings that I never thought would be made has astounded me. In addition to her skill, she is also very very nice and patient.
