I am a tutor and driving instructor. I love to assist children and parents in the discovery of there best self. I teach character development, biblical facts, academic review, and team building. I have enjoyed this assignment for over 20 years...I believe laughter is good for the soul. Attended Chicago State University and Valencia College. Driving Lessons requires patience and skills that cause a complete stranger to trust and overcome fears or lack of experience on the road.
I love knowing that I helped people enjoy an efficient, independent, and safe driving experience.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
setting small manageable goals. Very maternal at the same keeping student focused on task. happy positive the sky's the limit approach. celebrate and acknowledge every accomplishment made in reaching the goal.

Over 20 years of effective mentoring, goal setting,and one to one or group. growth in mental,social, and academics. How did you get started teaching?
Always loved people. Since 3rd grade First job camp counselor at 15 years of age. AsAchild I listened to older people and the reward was knowledge. That knowledge was priceless a idea grew last 20 years I have been teaching people various. skills.
What types of students have you worked with?
2 --100 years in age anyone that want to learn. My driving students vary new drivers to drivers with no or minimal. road experience. or drivers needing to take the renewal test.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One event that I am proud of was a group of students who were not the smartest in school. I started 35 weeks ago 10 hours a week currently. 8 out of the 10 are honor roll. I credit it to coach mentality. I never was down on them always there hero.We made great gains each 9 weeks.They build relationship and confidence in there self. They mastered what learning strategy would work for them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The teacher has to have patience.The teacher has to have compassion. Meet the teacher 1st.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What every questions they need to ask.Student and Teacher have to have clear understanding. Student should always ask why they do the service. If the reply is because it is a job look twice probably not great fit. The instructor has to live what they are doing
