What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I give students a proper evaluation to understand where they are with their instrument, define they're goals, and determine the steps to grow.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a Jazz Guitar performance major in college. I have studied privately with Rich Zellon, Jim Hall, Pat Martino & Adam Rogers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Stamdard pricing is $25 for a 1/2 half Hour, $40 for an hour.
I also can do lessons online via Skype were you can learn in the comforts of your own home!
How did you get started teaching?
When I was 19 I worked at my father's music store. That was many moons ago!
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, All styles and levels with a special attention to music theory and Jazz improvisation if wanted. I can give a lot of direction in musical genres or specific player's styles. From Bach to Rock!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We are gearing up for the College Park Jazz Fest! Playing at the Orlando Art Museum was great too.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I can help you meet and exceed your goals if you are willing to put in your time on your instrument. The most important thing is that you have fun learning.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is the teacher in a close enough place to get to? Am I willing to practice my instrument to achieve success?
