Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We first establish the qualifcation process for taking a class. We do background checks to make sure those interested have the legal means to take the course. We also tailor classes to the needs of the client. It isn't a one class fits all scenario.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a U.S. Military background/ Law Enforcement/ Certification in Terrorism/Counter Terrorism and an NRA Certification.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Basic Firearm Course: $60 ($100 includes CCW Class)
Concealed Firearms Course: $90 ($30 discount for NRA Members)
Seniors/Groups $50 CCW Class
FREE Safety Classes for Seniors/Mothers with Children
Defensive Firearm Training: $100 per hour
How did you get started teaching?
I love teaching and feel that safety is the key to educating those who choose to carry a firearm. It is also necessary for children to learn as much as adults.
What types of students have you worked with?
Women, seniors, men, teens and children.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The look on a students face when they receive their license.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research. A lot of people out there will take advantage of someone who isn't familiar with the process. This not about pumping out licenses, but more about understanding the whole aspect of responsibilty of owning and operating a firearm.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I'm new to guns, where do I start?
Do I need a gun to take the course?
How will I know I'm ready?
