About
My art has been collected by the Smithsonian, NASA, Mayo Clinic, Ritz Carlton, Sun Bank, CNL, Disney, and many more. I have recently been included in the monumental book “Art of the National Parks”.
With over 45 years of professional art experience I am qualified to help art students understand and implement painting techniques and compositional awareness that is so important to being creative and developing the artists' own stye.
I look forward to sharing the knowledge I have gained with the student who is seeking to better his or her artistic capabilities.
Every day is an interesting challenge to those who pursue oil painting. I wake up most mornings with the anticipation of creating something new and vibrant.
From concept to completion, I enjoy every single part of the process. I never stop discovering something new.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For you the student I first like to determine your own knowledge and skill level.
Then after seeing what you are comfortable with and what you are wanting out of this workshop we consider how to move forward.
It might be a hands-on demonstration, or getting help on a project you have already started.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught both professional artists, and hobbyists.
I have a degree in commercial art, but am self taught as a fine artist.
