Luis Augusto Graterol; Venezuelan painter born in 1960 with various individual exhibits and collective shows throughout his country. Went to Pedro Oporto's Art School in 1975 in Cabimas Venezuela; to Lewis and Clark College of Liberal Arts in 1982 in Portaland Oregon guided by renown artist Phyllis Yes; and to the Drawing School of University of Arkansas, in 1983-86.
Has worked extensively on figurative art with impresionistic tendencies; Has committed his career to expresionist abstraction, Luis Graterol uses the gestural methods and expressive color of abstract expressionism to convey his oniric views of life and nature. The sources from which he has drawn inspiration include the landscapes of his homelandand, the beat of jazz, and gardens of all sorts that include skies of all sorts.
