Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Once the student and I meet, we first discuss what the student wouyld like to accompliosh from the lessons and what he/she already knows. My workflow is based on the students individualized needs.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I've been photographing professionally for 17 years. I currently teach K-12 public schools as well as private lessons.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do have a standardized pricing system for lessons, per hourly rates. View details when scheduling lessons or contact me for more details.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching when I found people wanting to learn more about photography. Many of my friends were curious about functions and settings on the camera to be able to capture everyday memories of their family.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students in public schools from K-12 teaching many subjects. I primarily teach photography, which is becoming more prominent in everyday life.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Working with children and adults who are eager to learn is my best asset. These are the students who grasp knowledge and use them to their advantage. Recently I visited the Orlando Museum of Art and saw paintings and images on the walls. I am very fond of students who take their art to another level and continue to strive.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
When searching for a teacher you need to look for their knowledge in the field they are teaching, but the most important thing is the teachers personality and how comfortable you feel learning. Teachers should have knowledge basis as well as extensive skills in teaching a viriety of different groups.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students need to consider what their goals are in learning the said subject matter. Students should first ask questions like:
- How long have you been teaching?
- How will we be taking pictures?
- How many times per week should I be taking lessons?
- and many more questions... the more the merrier! I am happy to answer any and all questions. This is the best way to be on the same page.
