My favorite part of makeup is teaching it. I enjoy seeing my clients learn and develop their own skills. Seeing my clients transformation is extremely satisfying.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to ask a lot of questions.
What type of experience do you have if any, what type of makeup are you looking to learn.
if the session is for a particular event then the questions would be is this a day or night event what type of an event what are they wearing and I always ask for the client to send me pictures of what they're looking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned makeup in Modeling school when I was in high school. I worked at the Mac counter for 3 years and received my MOA at Vanity makeup school. Started then working on friends and family afterwards started working on clients for personal classes or special events.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I don't have a standard price. A lot of things fall into place such as am I traveling to the client is the client traveling to me. What type of make up is the client looking to learn. Does the client want me to go shopping with them and help them pick out the right type of product.
How did you get started teaching?
I just love make up! I remember being a little girl and watching my mother do her make up and just being fascinated by it. In modeling school they definitely helped us with what suited us best. Afterwards at Mac helping others achieve a certain look has always been a sense of achievement.
What types of students have you worked with?
My students up to now have been mostly beginners. The ones that have almost no knowledge and need to learn and every day make up look.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Definitely ask a lot of questions. Make sure the make up artist knows exactly what you're looking to achieve. This way you can both be on the same page.
